Directing Donations Where They’re Needed Most

NCT Recycling keeps clothing in use across Colorado—reusing, repurposing, and responsibly recycling textiles to cut landfill waste and support local communities.

Our Mission

We specialize in the reuse and repurposing of textiles—making sure every donation serves a purpose again.

By partnering with local charities, community drives, and retail partners, we keep tens of thousands of pounds of usable clothing circulating every month. Our work reduces environmental strain, supports small businesses, and advances Colorado’s circular economy goals.

About NCT Recycling

Fort Collins–based reuse and recycling hub

We started with a simple goal: keep usable clothing out of the waste stream. Today, NCT Recycling serves as a regional hub connecting donation centers, community programs, and retail partners so that wearable goods find their next life—locally first.

Textile recycling is more than sorting clothes—it’s job creation, small-business growth, and measurable progress toward Colorado’s waste-reduction targets.

What Happens to Your Donations

  1. Collection: Donations arrive from non-profits, thrift partners, and community drives across Northern Colorado.
  2. Sorting: Items are organized by quality and category—kids, women’s, men’s, denim, and winter.
  3. Reuse: Our retail partners and upcyclers select goods for resale and creative reuse—keeping value in the community.
  4. Recycling: Remaining materials are baled for industrial re-use (wiping rags, insulation, fiber feedstock) so nothing usable goes to waste.
Why this process works

A reuse-first model delivers higher environmental benefit and better local outcomes than disposal. It also builds stable supply for small businesses and makers.

We prioritize local needs before any export or industrial recycling.
